My Magical UI

It seems like almost everyday I am asked what UI I am using. It's called LUI and everything comes bundled in that you see on my screen in one easy full installation. Once you get it downloaded i'll go over how to get things rolling.

First head over to LUI's website. Then go to download, it will take you to WoW Interface where you can start the process of your awesome shiny new UI.

Once downloaded:

-Make a new folder called Interface.
-Copy the Interface folder to your WoW Installation Directory ( C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft) Do not put it on your addons folder. Simply place it directly in the World of Warcraft Folder. If a prompt appears make sure to accept to overwrite.
-After you get all the files copied. Start WoW. Log-in.
-Make sure all add-ons are enabled at your character selection screen, even out of date ones.

I personally use the Curse Client to update and such. It makes using LUI 10x easier and you can always download the client for free. As you can see below it informs me I need to update one of my add-ons but all the others are good to go.

Once you're in-game the installation is pretty self explanatory. A giant INSTALL button will pop up in your face.

Now there are a few things you might want to know once you get it installed:

The little cogwheel I am pointing to brings up the LUI settings where you can change the colors, fonts, and lots of other stuff that you can play around with to your liking.

If you look at the very top center. You see a yellow shiny orb. If you click that it shows/hides: Chat background, Thread Meter, Recount, and Raid Frames.

The two buttons on each side of it individually do that as well.

/bar - Brings up your bartender interface. Top left inside the bartender interface you can lock/unlock your bars and buttons.

If you are confused on why some of your bars refuse to show you need to go into that Bar # tab. So below I am in Bar 1. Then go to the Visibility tab, which I so kindly put a red arrow pointing to and make sure Always Hide is Unchecked if you wish for the bar to appear.

/recount config - If you wish to move recount to a different location on the screen or edit it's appearance.

In the picture above make sure you go to the window tab to lock or unlock recount, this will allow you to move it or keep it stuck in one place.

I think that covers all the basics. If you have any questions or issues you can always poke me and I can help you out.

Oh! Thanks again to Elvine for introducing me to the UI. So make sure to check out his awesome gold making livestream: http://www.twitch.tv/elvinemod.
